3 Tips to Help Your Voice

When it comes to the world of Karaoke and you would rather make a good impression on your audience rather than going up on stage for the purpose of having a laugh then there are a few important tips that will serve you well when singing.

First, if you have never sung into a microphone before, then beware that it is completely different to singing without one. This is because you have to take into consideration many aspects such as volume levels and distortion. So if you are singing a powerful ballad that requires a lot of breathing and hitting of high notes you don't want your lips to be touching the microphone, you need to be standing a distance from it, and this is called "working the mic". Basically if you are too close it can sound awful and just wrong!

Second, make sure you have enough fluids before singing. A bottle of water half hour before you go on stage will do you wonders as it will keep your mouth moist so you don't lose your voice or hit flat notes.

Third, you should always wear clothes that are comfortable to you and then stand in an upright position so you have good posture when it comes to inhaling and exhaling, any slouching means that you won't have the full potential and control over your diaphragm which is an organ that is called upon when singing.

These 3 small tips won't make you into the next Leona Lewis but they will help you a long way when it comes to singing on karaoke and you should easily notice improvements.
